Vivente World Randonneur 2014s have arrived!

The hotly anticipated 2014 model of the Vivente World Randonneur is now here! We have one (or more) of each model (The Gibb, Patagonia, Anatolia, and Deccan) available for test-riding.

For some light reading, here's the full list of changes from 2013 to 2014, from the Vivente website:

"The big changes have been around frame modification to suit the Rohloff rear hub and the rear disc brake caliper and kickstand. But there have been a lot more small tweaks as we integrate all the components and accessories, and generally improve and lighten the bikes."

At a model level

-

New model names introduced. Deccan, Anatolia, Patagonia and The Gibb.

At a size level

-

Small and Extra Small drop bar bikes now have their own handlebars and, in the case of bar-end shift levers, they also have their own brake levers.

Stem lengths reduced a little on all S & XS bikes.  

At a frame/fork level

-

New rear dropouts permit the frame to be assembled as a derailleur bike or a Rohloff bike. Disc brake mounts are included in the left dropout.

New double M6 attachment for new rear stand.

New front mudguard stay mounts.

  

-

Inclusion of lock washers under some screw heads and of a list of torque requirements for every screw.

At the wheel level

New SD front dynamo hub replacing Shimano and now with 6-bolt disc attachment.

New DT 545d rims on both wheels.

New rear hub (XT) with 6-bolt disc attachment.

Front spokes now DT Champion 14g.

Marathon 32c on the front (still 35 on rear).  

Brakes

Rear brake now Avid BB7 disc

Now 118mm UN-55. Was 113mm with a spacer.

Lighting
