Summer bike touring weekend
Posted on October 21 2016
We're organising another bicycle touring weekend, and guess what? You're invited!
On the 12th and 13th of November, we'll be riding on the Hawkesbury, camping in the Dharug National Park and soaking up the warmer weather and beautiful scenery. On the first day, we'll travel about 60km following the Hawkesbury to Wiseman's Ferry, camping nearby at the Mill Creek campground. Day two is choose your own adventure - either ride back to Windsor on the other side of the river, which is around 60km OR ride out to Gosford Station along a slightly more adventurous offroad route, which will be a little bit more than 60km.
You'll need to be moderately fit, have a suitable bike (there will be some dirt but the route should be in reasonable condition), water and food for the first day, camping stuff, clothes for the heat and cold - you know how to take care of yourselves, you're adult humans.
We'll be jumping on the 8.36am train from Central on Saturday the 12th, which gets to Windsor at 9.50. We'll all assemble in the car park to head off at 10am. The tour will end at either Windsor or Gosford station (depending on your adventure), and you can head back home from there.
If this sounds awesome and you want to join in, great! If you plan on camping with us, you'll need to book here - it's $15 each to cover the cost of camping.
