Running a dynamo light on an Omnium is an awesome upgrade that ensures you are seen 24/7 on the roads. Modern Hub dynamo systems have almost no drag so most staff at the shop use them on their own bikes and ride with lights on day and night. Lots of studies have shown that daytime running lights can reduce incidents and when it gets dark knowing that you wont run out of charge is a godsend.
Hub dynamos are extra awesome on a Omnium because they were designed for larger wheels so will reach maximum brightness at incredibly low speeds on the smaller wheels of a cargo bike. So raather than the light hitting maximum brightness at say 20+km/h the light will reach full power at say 5-7km/h.
