Event Details

The inaugural Omafiets Weird Bike Ride was a huge success! We had some pretty strange bikes along - a penny farthing, a couple of tall bikes, several small-wheeled abominations, a tiller-steering tandem, a bike with a pedicab sidecar, and a skate-bike (as well as a riotous assortment of colourful cargo and regular bikes).

We rode down the airport canal path to Tempe Reserve, where everyone tried out each other's bikes, followed by some very competitive foot-down and sprints.

Then we headed over to the St Peters Pump Track for some very silly timed laps on the 8" wheels Pacific folding bike.

We're looking forward to some even weirder bikes next year!
