Omafiets ambassadors Kristy and Jules are gearing up for a 850km bikepacking trip later this year called the Curve Flinta 850.
Join them for an approximately 60km day ride in the lower Blue Mountains, with lots of opportunities to learn more about bikepacking and adventure cycling. The aim is to be back at Glenbrook by 1pm for lunch. Bring snacks, 2 litres of water, and a light lunch if you prefer to not buy something at Glenbrook shops.
- This is not an introductory or beginners ride - if you're new to riding gravel, you'll need to gain experience on shorter gravel rides before attending.
- Riders should already be confident riding on gravel and other unsealed surfaces, up step hills, and managing their bike on loose terrain.
- A gravel bike with at least 40mm tyres is recommended, or a mountain bike.
- Ride leaders may recommend that riders do not participate if they feel the ride is beyond their current experience level, or their bike is unsuitable.
FLINTA is a German acronym that stands for Frauen (women), Lesben (lesbians), Intergeschlechtliche (intersex), Nichtbinäre (non-binary), Trans, and Agender people.
